There are two types of reseller hosting:

Affiliate marketing. In this case you are paid for selling provider’s hosting plans. A reseller tries to find clients for a hosting provider. You don’t need to know anything to become such a reseller.

You have your own hosting. You buy traffic, NS servers, IP addresses, etc. Such a hosting differs from a dedicated server because you are not owner of this server: you don’t control a server physically, you cannot configure it without hosting provider’s help, which is not always convenient. Your possibilities are limited by control panel. You will find a description for this type of hosting below.
